The fol­low­ing sub­jects will be taught dur­ing this course:

  1. Busi­ness Pro­cess Man­age­ment – Introduction
  2. Key terms defin­i­tions (pro­cess, a product of the pro­cess, busi­ness pro­cess, procedure)
  3. BUSINESS PROCESS MODEL & NOTATION™ (BPMN™, based on Chapter 7 Over­view, of the ori­gin­al specification) 
    1. Descript­ive, Ana­lyt­ic and Com­mon Execut­able mod­els, what the difference
    2. Basic ele­ments in ana­lyt­ics models 
    3. Key defin­i­tions
    4. Typ­ic­al structures
  4. Key ele­ments we need to use to pre­pare a busi­ness pro­cess mod­el not included in BPMN: 
    1. RACI mat­rix (role and responsibility)
    2. CRUD mat­rix (doc­u­ment access)
    3. Decision tables (non-trivi­al busi­ness logic)
    4. Doc­u­ments mock-up struc­ture (details of the BPMN DataOb­jects structure)
    5. Busi­ness vocab­u­lary and rules (domain namespaces)
  5. Sum­mary.

The course lasts three days and con­sists mainly of lec­tures and dis­cus­sions. Addi­tion­al work­shops are possible.
